I've answered them substantively on my own blog, but just a quick question here: do you know whether there is any connection between the philosopher Quine who you mention and Hofstadter's use of the word as a verb, meaning 'to produce a sentence that repeats itself from a starting sentence'?

It is just an unusual enough word that it seemed possible there could be such a connection.
